Base background using acrylic paint over top with hints of fine liner.

Taking a different approach using black Indian ink down first then placing delicate flakes of orange in certain areas. Taking mark making further I decimated to mark make with lighter colours for example grey acrylic really complimented the black gestural marks creating dark and light.

I find the colours compliment each other and it connects the positive composition with the negative.
